PVC is a foamed, closed cell polyvinyl chloride product. It is available in 3 mm, 6 mm, 13 mm and 19 mm thicknesses. 3 mm and 6 mm PVC is also available in a variety of stock colors: black, grey, beige, dark red, green, bright yellow, blue and dark blue.
PVC has extensive history in the screen printing, display and exhibit, and signage industries. PVC accepts paint, may be thermoformed, and has an excellent strength to weight ratio. PVC may be used outdoors with the following information taken into consideration. Factory white and black have superior weather ability over colors which will fade when exposed to U.V. rays for long periods of time.
It is recommended that PVC be painted if a color is required for extended outdoor use. HowMac uses Matthews polyurethane paint over PVC, which provides an excellent U.V. resistant finish.
